ABOUT ME!
I'm Terri McCabe and I'm a storyteller. That's encapsulates who I am in less than ten words!
Artistic expression was a fundamental element of my upbringing; dancing ballet professionally from the age of twelve until college and then becoming a writer specializing in public relations in my early career. Everything in my life has encompassed telling a story in some way, shape, or form through one medium or another and in the background, I was persistently telling the story of my life through a camera lens.
It seemed like a natural transition to move from dance, to writing, to shooting children's and family photography, which I've been doing for years in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. But in addition to capturing the spirit of children and families, I have become totally engrossed in my latest endeavor... shooting wedding photography. Capturing a visual of the wide range of emotions and all the hard work that goes into every detail of one extraordinary whirlwind of a day is a story of passion, family, friendship, and love.
My photography is all about having fun, letting loose, and allowing the 'true you' to come out in your photos. I steer away from a lot of formal posing and artificial lighting. I love to use natural light and you'll find that when I do pose you, it will be artfully done with fashion photography flair.
I'm a lifestyle photographer with a passion for capturing a slice of your life. I strive to embody the pure essence of everyone I photograph and that is what makes doing what I do so rewarding. So leave your Sunday manners on the sidelines and show me who you really are! You will be surprised by the fantastic results a relaxed and playful on-location shoot will yield. Who wants to pose uncomfortably under hot lights in a studio?
Let's get together and shoot a slice of your life that's worth remembering! While I work primarily in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, I also do destination shoots elsewhere.
Thanks for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy the view!
